Our Story

Love at First Sight?

When they first met...

-it was for brief snippets of chatter in between their full-time work schedules (for instance, next to the trash compactor in the back hallway, they would run into each other and discuss after-work plans, or else they’d share lingering hugs in the parking lot before Papa Weaver came to pick Ki up). This was soon upgraded to spasms of nervous laughter at the customer service desk (where Ki was a member of the front-end staff) as well as a slew of incohesive sentences, which made sharing anything of substance upwards to impossible. Ki and Vadim had a lot in common, though, and so, even though they had a difficult time mustering words, they matched vibes. After working their closing shifts at Publix one night, Ki and Vadim went on a date to Bridge Street Town Center (a coffee date which ran till 1 AM), where they sat and talked about everything - the good, the bad, and the ugly - that their lives had consisted of up to that point, and that was when they knew. They knew that they’d found their respective person.

God makes love happen when it's meant to happen, and with the person whom he Himself delineated to receive and reciprocate our love. There’s so much more that goes into all of this “marriage” stuff than can ever be chronicled in an About Us and Our Love segment. To agree to share one’s life with another human being means that you can stand assured that your soul is in good hands, and that your partner will nurture, guard, and protect your peace. This new-found peace and happiness that the bride and groom found in one another spurned an engagement - months after the initial courtship -, and, a year and a half after that, a wedding ceremony slated for the 14th of September.
